ESI Enters SIP Trunking and Hosted PBX Market via Acquisition of Vintalk Retail Division
PLANO, Texas --(Business Wire)--
Estech Systems, Inc. (ESI (News - Alert)), just months after celebrating its 25th year
as a communications solutions innovator, today announced it has
purchased the retail assets of Vintalk (News - Alert), including the Vintalk brand,
from Vinculum Communications, Inc. Completed on January 9, 2013, the
transaction included the infrastructure, the established customer base
associated with Vintalk's SIP trunking and hosted PBX (News - Alert) solutions, and the
transition of Vintalk retail division employees to ESI Hosted Services,
LLC.
"After an exhaustive and careful search which began in December, 2011,
our purchase decision was based on the strategic fit that we found
between Vintalk's solutions and ESI's product portfolio," said George
Platt, President and Chief Operating Officer of ESI. "The purchase of
this best-of-breed voice over IP (VoIP) network and full suite of IP and
unified communications services puts ESI in the position to offer
businesses Web-based VoIP calling technologies which are tightly
integrated with the phone devices connected to them," added Platt.
ESI has specialized in providing advanced communications solutions to
small and medium-sized businesses through a network of over 600
independent Resellers for more than a quarter-century. In 1996, with the
launch of the IVX® product, ESI was recognized as the first
company to combine a high-performance business phone system and voice
mail in a single, cost-effective procesing platform. With today's
announcement, ESI has again shown its capacity to lead the industry by
fully integrating hosted VoIP functionality with business telephones
utilizing the service. The ability to control communications elements
both in the cloud and at the customer premises establishes ESI as an
innovator of features and functions not available today in typical
hosted solutions.
The vast knowledge gained over the years and insights provided by the
customers who have purchased over 500,000 telephone systems puts ESI in
the unique position to combine VoIP hardware, hosted PBX solutions, SIP
trunking services, and additional cloud-based services in new and unique
ways that provide customers unparalleled flexibility and productivity.
"This investment fulfills a primary component of our strategic plan and
propels us into the cloud services business," stated Doug Boyd, ESI's
CEO and co-owner of ESI Hosted Services, LLC. "In addition to offering a
powerful combination of communications systems and phones, our Resellers
will be able to provide their business customers with flexible and
feature-rich SIP trunking and hosted PBX services which allows them to
drive additional growth opportunities and take advantage of the
increasing interest in hosted communications products."
