WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Scouting Bryant: The Bulldogs are finally eligible for the postseason tournament and are off to a super start with wins over Robert Morris and St. Francis (Pa.). Bryant was selected 10th in the preseason NEC poll but has already proven that to be too low. The Bulldogs are looking for their first 10-win season since joining the Division I ranks in 2008. Sophomore guard Dyami Starks earned his second conference Player of the Week honor of the season after averaging 25.5 points in the road-sweep. Starks leads the Bulldogs in scoring, 17.9 points per game, also good enough for fourth in the NEC. Alexis Francis and Frankie Dobbs join Starks in double-figures with 15.8 points and 13.7 points per game, respectively. Francis leads the team in rebounding with 8.0 per game, standing right behind Ike Azotam for third amongst conference leaders.
Scouting Quinnipiac: The Bobcats got a much-needed win beating Long Island on Saturday to even their NEC record. Ike Atotam had 17 points on 8 for 10 shooting and Evan Conti continued to contribute chipping in with 15 points and nine rebounds. The Bobcats have won their last three trips to Bryant and are 5-3 in the series since 2007. Garvey Young remains questionable with an ankle injury. Coach Tom Moore is two wins shy of 100.
