ZephyrLIFE Goes Live at Sanborn Place
ANNAPOLIS, Md. --(Business Wire)--
Zephyr Technology, a world leader in remote physiologic monitoring,
announces the installation of ZephyrLIFE at Sanborn Place. Sanborn Place
is a 73-unit supportive living community for the elderly and those with
progressive diseases located in Reading, MA. Sanborn Home Care is the
sister corporation to Sanborn Place, dedicated to providing high quality
home care services to the elderly and/or disabled in the community.

installation and pilot is the first of several the company has planned
for hospitals and facilities prior to general commercialization.
Jacqueline Carson, CEO of Sanborn Place, states, "We are excited to be
part of this pilot that benefits health and wellness and are
enthusiastic about this technology that allows seniors to maintain their
independence. We are starting in our facility and expect to expand
throughout the communty."
Leo, a Sanborn Place resident, remarked, "I think it's a great set of
tools for hospitals or any place they need more communication. I'm
excited to be in this program."
About Zephyr Technology
Zephyr is a world leader in remote physiologic monitoring. For the last
decade, patients and clinicians throughout the care continuum have
relied on Zephyr's solutions. Our system, called ZephyrLIFE, combines
algorithms, wearable sensors, wireless communication and software which
reflects the lessons we have learned in the field centered on clinician
workflow, data visualization and alert escalation to deliver actionable
information to care givers.
Secure and HIPAA compliant, ZephyrLIFE enables the seamless monitoring
of patients in the hospital, in transition, and at home. ZephyrLIFE in a
facility improves safety by alerting staff to reduce patient falls and
prevent pressure ulcers, improves care by documenting both patient
deterioration and stabilization sooner, increases hospital revenue by
identifying previously undetected comorbidities. In the home, ZephyrLIFE
adds cloud solutions to leverage the internet with smartphone and
gateway access. Hospital grade vital signs, ECG and accelerometry
(posture, position, movement, activity) is collected in the home giving
patients security, independence and improved quality of life. Two way
communications allows caregivers to make adjustments over the air
without interruption of the patient's daily routine. Weighing less than
an ounce, the Bluetooth BioPatch vital signs monitor with accelerometer
measures multiple parameters, including heart rate, respiration rate and
ECG, movement and activity. Store and forward enables the freedom to
live life to its fullest without missing a beat.
