Pilat Media signs multi-year contract with media and entertainment company
Nov 08, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --
Pilat Media Global plc, a supplier of business management software, has signed a multi-year contract with a media and entertainment company for the licensing, implementation and long term maintenance of Pilat Media's flagship product, Integrated Broadcast Management System, or IBMS.
IBMS will serve as the central rights management, content scheduling and media trafficking system for large organization and will be rolled out gradually to support the client's linear channels and on-demand and new media services across Europe, Middle East and Africa. IBMS will replace several dispersed systems to bring about improved efficiency through centralization, standardization and workflow automation.
The value of the licenses and implementation services contracted for is approximately GBP3.2 million, to be recognized gradually throughout the implementation project currently planned to be completed by early 2014. Approximately GBP400,000 has already been paid and recognized in the interim accounts given work on the project had commenced in the months prior to contract signing. Maintenance and support fees will be earned annually in addition and are contracted for a five-year term.
Avi Engel, CEO of Pilat Media, said: "We are delighted to have been selected by this new strategic client after a long and thorough evaluation process and several months of working on the project pre-contract. In February of this year we announced that this company had gone live with the MediaPro advertising sales system provided by our Dutch subsidiary and so it is very gratifying now to also win the content management part of their operations. We hope this significant contract win will lead to additional new business of similar nature, utilizing IBMS for large scale centralization and consolidation."
