Microsoft News - Sangoma to Debut NetBorder Lync Express Device at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference
By Jacqueline Lee, Contributing Writer
Sangoma has announced plans to showcase its new NetBorder Lync Express appliance at the Microsoft (News - Alert) Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto. The conference will take place July 8-12 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, and Sangoma will exhibit its products in Booth #256.
Lync Express is designed to provide the backbone of any Microsoft Lync deployment. The solution employs the Microsoft Windows 2008 server, the Microsoft Lync 2010 server and Sangoma’s NetBorder Express VoIP Gateway (News - Alert). The device will connect to the PSTN gateway thanks to its E1/T1/J1 compliant digital telephony spans.
The service will also support sites of up to 100 users.
“Eliminating the need to source and configure an external PSTN gateway frees network architects to focus on leveraging the powerful UC features and capabilities available through Lync,” explained Doug Vilim (News - Alert), vice president of worldwide sales for Sangoma.
Lync Express also delivers four FXS line connections to handle legacy emergency phone or fax requirements.
If clients need a larger deployment, they can take advantage of Sangoma’s NetBorder Express kit, which consists of both Sangoma telephony boards and Lync-certified NetBorder express software. The NetBorder Express kit can be deployed on a company’s server of choice.
“Sangoma's ability to reduce the complexity of Lync deployments is resonating with the Microsoft Partners and Sangoma's channel partners that are actively deploying Lync around the globe,” said Vilim.
Sangoma’s NetBorder products can facilitate Lync installations for both enterprise users and service providers thanks to their auto-detect and quick configuration features. The company’s solutions are also compatible with PSTN line codes and protocols throughout the world.
“Our research and expertise in designing relevant and cost-effective communications solutions has enabled Sangoma to develop a solution that makes it easy for any Microsoft Partner or enterprise to get a Lync deployment up and running quickly and easily,” Vilim finished.
