Network Equipment Technologies’ (News - Alert) platforms Tenor DX, UX2000 and UX1000 have recently been included in the Microsoft (News - Alert) Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program – Lync Server web page of the Microsoft Technet website.
The Microsoft Technet website is the most commonly used resource for customers and partners in identifying Microsoft Lync qualified platforms, according to company officials.
Designed specifically for enterprise telephone services and infrastructure offerings, the UCOIP qualification program makes sure that customers have seamless experiences with setup, support, and use of qualified telephony infrastructure and services with Microsoft's unified communications software including Lync Server and Exchange Server.
Only products that meet rigorous and extensive testing requirements and conform to the specifications and test plans receive qualification.
"Inclusion on the Technet website is an important step in recognition of our platforms' interoperability with the Microsoft Lync environment," said Suresh Tatavarthy, senior product manager. “We are pleased to gain this additional recognition from Microsoft, as only products that meet rigorous and extensive testing requirements and conform to the specifications and test plans receive qualification and inclusion on the website."
To achieve NET (News - Alert) UX certification under the Session Border Controller category, NET, a premier provider of high performance networking equipment optimized for real-time communications, partnered with IntelePeer (News - Alert), Inc. Officials said that tekVizion Labs and WiPro performed the qualification testing in their independent laboratories.
"We are pleased to partner with NET in their successful qualification of the UX2000 and UX1000," said Margaret Norton, general manager, Enterprises at IntelePeer. "Through the use of the IntelePeer CoreCloud SIP trunking service and NET's newly certified products, businesses can rapidly and confidently deploy Microsoft unified communication solutions enabling improved communication and collaboration."
